When most people think about getting their car detailed, they aren't always sure what they actually need. Do you go interior, exterior, or both? Here's a simple breakdown to help you decide.
What is Exterior Detailing? Exterior detailing focuses on everything outside the car. This includes a thorough hand wash, polish to remove light scratches and swirl marks, wax application to protect the paint, wheel and tire cleaning, and window detailing. The goal is to restore and protect your car's finish so it looks sharp and holds up against the elements — especially important here in New England where road salt, UV rays, and harsh winters take a real toll on paint.
You probably need an exterior detail if:
Your paint looks dull, faded, or has light scratches
There's built-up grime, salt, or road film on the body
Your wheels are dirty or your tires look worn out
You want to protect your car's resale value
What is Interior Detailing? Interior detailing focuses on everything inside the car. This includes deep vacuuming, steam cleaning of seats and carpets, dashboard and console cleaning, leather conditioning, odor removal, and air vent sanitizing. The goal is to make the inside of your car feel fresh, clean, and like new again.
You probably need an interior detail if:
Your car has stains on the seats or carpets
There's a lingering smell you can't get rid of
Pet hair, crumbs, or dust have built up over time
You haven't had a deep clean in over 6 months
Why Not Both? If it's been a while since your last detail, our Full Detail package covers everything inside and out at a better value than booking the two separately. It's the most popular option for a reason.
